how can i help?

I am happy to provide therapy sessions to individual adults and youth, as well as parents/caregivers/families of all ages, shapes, and sizes.  My approach to psychotherapy is from an Attachment Science-, trauma-, and neuropsychology-informed perspective, however I make use of a variety of therapeutic modalities and tools to meet the needs of my clients.  Some of the issues I can help you address include:

  • Negative family dynamics, including issues with communicaton styles, attachment and bonding difficulties between family members, emptional struggles in parenthood, and co-parenting difficulties

  • Negative/disruptive life experiences, including emotional/medical trauma, and experiences of abuse

  • Emotion regulation struggles, including issues with mood, worries/anxiety/stress, and anger

  • ADHD/Neurodivergence

  • Personal identity, including racial, cultural, sexual and gender identity*

  • Interpersonal struggles, including struggles in romantic and social relationships

  • Self-esteem difficulties, trouble with saying "no” and setting effective boundaries, feeling "stuck", or breaking negative patterns of behaviour

  • Women’s empowerment and mental health

*I approach psychotherapy from a sexual-orientation and gender affirming perspective.


With Whom do i work, Where, and how?

I am happy to offer the following therapy a variety of formats of therapy, depending on the needs of the client at hand:

  • I work with individual adults and youth**, as well as parents and families.

    **Where clients are children under the age of 13, my preference is always to include parents in our work, at least periodically and while still respecting client confidentiality; this includes a parents-only session at the beginning of our work together.

  • E-therapy”/online sessions, if appropriate, are offered to clients who prefer the flexibility that this format offers; a secure video-chat platform (NousTalk) is used for e-therapy sessions. Online sessions are generally held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

  • In-person sessions are generally available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, at 35 Main Street North, in Waterdown; I also am available for in-person sessions on Tuesdays, at The Oak Centre for Child & Family Psychology, in Oakville.

Hours, scheduling, & Fees

I typically see clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays; hours vary depending on the day but always fall between 8:30am and 4:30pm. I offer 60-minute and 90-minute sessions.
